- I Never Saw Another Butterfly
Fifteen thousand children under the age of fifteen passed through the Terezin Concentration Camp. Fewer than 100 survived. In these poems and pictures drawn by the young inmates, we see the daily misery of these uprooted children, as well as their hopes and fears, their courage and optimism. 60 color illustrations.
- Wildflowers of Terezin (Available as a Free eBook)
Complementary to the Project Butterfly, this book about Terezin is from more of an adult perspective. The digital version is free through Amazon. You can read on a Kindle, Apple or Android device as well as on any computer (if you don’t have one of those devices). The story is set before and while people are being sent to the Terezin Concentration Camp from Denmark. One of the main characters is a Lutheran pastor who has to make some decisions regarding his own actions and involvement once he becomes aware of what is happening.
