Volunteer Opportunities

We need you!   We are recruiting La Salle students to help during the 6th annual Community Based Health Fair organized by LaSalle’s Community Building Team (CBT).  The theme for this year’s fair is “Explore Your Health: Promoting a Health Community”.  It will be a great opportunity for students to meet neighbors who live in the area around La Salle.  It will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2017 from noon until 3pm.  Location is The Shoppe at La Salle (Chew & Wister)

We have a wide range of volunteer options that students can sign up for including: setting up the tables and tents, working the registration table, handing out bags with resource materials, face-painting and other activities for children, scooping water ice and working the massage booth sign-in.   If  students are not available to be around on that Saturday there are numerous other things they can sign up for. We need people to publicize our event through social media and other ways such as chalking the sidewalks and hanging flyers and posters.

We will accept any help possible but if students can volunteer for at least two hours it will help with assigning shifts.

There are two ways students can sign up to volunteer:

1.  Interested groups can select a group “representative” and have that person collect names and send those names with preferred hours to volunteer and preferred tasks to work on to us by September 22nd.

2.  Interested individuals should e-mail Health Fair Volunteer Chairperson, Dominique Simons-Bennett: simonsbennett@lasalle.edu

For more information contact Volunteer Coordinator Katie Minese. Thanks in advance for your help!
