Meeting Minutes – April 4, 2003

In addition to general daily business, announcements, and information-sharing, we initiated a Health Advisory notice regarding SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome), when we learned that there were two cases in the Philadelphia area, even though they were not near our campus. We learned of and discussed progress on University initiatives including the graphic identity program and the portals technology project, focusing on divisional involvement in and support of the initiatives. The proposal for a revised final examination schedule advanced at the April 1 Academic Affairs Committee meeting was distributed for review and comment. We continued discussion of and work to respond to community needs associated with military action in Iraq. We collaborated on the completion of survey items for U.S. News and World Report’s college guide. Br. Chip and Jack updated us on refurbishment plans for the De La Salle Chapel, Br. Chip updated us on the Community Service Scholars selections and our successful student retreats, Alan updated us on the Day ONE Host selection process, Lou updated us on upcoming Career Services speakers and events, and Lane updated us the success of the annual Health Fair and on the plans for this semester’s Blood Drive.
