Meeting Minutes – April 14, 2003

TRAC meets on the first Friday of every month to consider special cases brought forward by students who are asking for refund of tuition outside of La Salle’s standard refund policy. So far this year, we have heard 35 appeals. The appeals that typically would result in funds being returned usually involve circumstances affecting the student that are well beyond their control. Illness ranks chief among the reasons that refunds are granted. Tuition refund appeals are generated in the Dean’s offices and before they get to our committee, a dean or assistant dean has helped the student understand the process and complete the form in a timely way. We will continue to meet all summer long, since we hear appeals from all undergraduate, continuing studies and graduate students.
