Meeting Minutes – March 31, 2006

We identified where there are ashtrays located at doorways of buildings and decide it wasn’t feasible to move these as committee members noted that in places where the ashtrays have been moved, individuals still are smoking but dropping their butts on the ground. Instead, the committee decided to focus on ‘courtesy’ and ‘civility’ as it relates to health issues (second hand smoke, good hygiene to prevent the spread of germs, etc. – this will be April’s Health Tip of the Month). We discussed issues proactive and prevention strategies related to MRSA, Avian Flu and Bed Bugs (the latter two issues are not currently problems for La Salle). We finalized volunteer assignments for the Health Fair.
