King’s Dream

Martin Luther King Statue Monument in Washington DCAs a University community, the King Holiday provides us with an educational moment. It is an opportunity for all aspects of the University, academic and non-academic, to reflect on the life of Dr. Martin Luther King and the implications of the Holiday honoring Dr. King’s life for us today.

Over the years, La Salle University has celebrated the Martin Luther King holiday with the “King’s Dream” program. King’s Dream has involved community service, leadership development, celebration opportunities, and an interfaith prayer service with neighbors and members of the La Salle community.

In 2015, La Salle will sponsor a Day of Service on Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday, when members of the La Salle community will team up with members of their neighborhood to do community service for organizations that are in need.
