The Activities Funding Board allotted $14,412.67 to five student organizations.
Members of Community Development/CAJH Fest Committee were allotted $2,786.00 for the annual CAJH Fest event to be held on April 17, 2005. This event is open to all students and includes food, games, and entertainment.
Members of Community Development/Mr. and Ms. La Salle Pageant Committee were allotted $1,809.00 for the Mr. and Ms. La Salle Pageant, to be held on Friday, March 18, 2005.
Also, members of Students’ Government Association (SGA) were allotted $5,574.27 to attend the 2005 Conference on Student Government Associations (COSGA) at Texas A & M University from February 26-March 1, 2005.
Members of Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE) were allotted $1,993.40 for the SIFE Competition in Boston, to be held on April 4, 2005. The Board requested that SIFE publicize the results of the competition on the Portal, etc.
In addition, members of the Lacrosse Club were allotted $2,250.00 for ambulance services at home games.
Members of the board discussed the possibility of purchasing a van for student group use. The van would be an eight-passenger minivan, and would be part of the van pool administrated by Administrative Services. Lasella Hall will contact Jeff Hershberger, Director of Administrative Services, and Sebastian Lukwiya, Administrative Assistant in Administrative Services, and invite them to an upcoming meeting. The Board would pay for half the van (approximately $16,000).
