Liturgical Ministers
Eucharistic Ministry
They prepare the bread, wine, and sacred vessels for the celebration of the Eucharist before the liturgy begins. Eucharistic ministers take part in the celebration of the Eucharistic meal by ministering the Body and Blood of Christ to the gathered assembly. Finally, they assist in cleaning the Eucharistic vessels and linens once Mass in concluded.
Lectoral MinistryTheir voices make real the presence of God among us through the living words of scripture. They commit themselves to reflecting upon and preparing the readings for the week. They proclaim the Scripture to the assembly, lead the people in the prayer of the faithful, and lead the procession in and out of the church with the book and cross. |
Hospitality MinistryThe Hospitality Minister is the first person worshipers encounter as they gather for liturgy. They are the welcoming faces of our celebration. In addition to greeting, the hospitality minister assures that the liturgy flows smoothly and prayerfully. They assist the celebrant throughout the Mass and prepare the altar before the Eucharistic prayer. |
Musicians prepare the songs that enliven our celebration of the sacred mysteries. Pastoral musicians rehearse weekly to prepare to lead the people in worship through song. Musician must commit to exercising their ministry of music at a particular weekly liturgy (6:30pm or 9:00pm) and are asked to be available for special holy day celebrations.
